Pete has done charity work with several charities over the past 15-20 years. Handicapped programs, sailing programs, schools and educational programs as well as working with feeding programs and medical supplements.
He has done fundraising for are Children’s Aid International, Miglat, ANGELCARE, North Coast Marine Institute, AIMS and Challenged America.
In addition, Pete has done acquisitions, fundraising, worked with programs, concerts and celebrity events, direct mail, telemarketing, and have helped set up and coordinate different fundraisers too.
This is in addition to Pete’s music. He started playing the piano at 5 years old, studied many years before he went to Mesa College and studied classical piano with Lisa Zdechlik, then he studied with George Katz at san Diego State.
When he was younger Pete played in several bands, wrote and recorded a couple sound tracks for motion pictures and documentaries, he has a few CD’s out, played on TV, videos and played hundreds of shows over the years. Pete just got done writing his next CD and will be in the studio soon. He is starting to play at more local clubs-had to take a few years off because of young kids and family.
He has played on TV quite a bit and should be doing some more shows soon to promote my next CD.
Musicians on a Mission is a collection of several different bands and solo performers. All are professional and currently play all over Southern California and some go on tour once in a while. They have different genres-like Folk Music, Pop, Dixieland Blues/Jazz, Jazz, Claisscal Piano, Contemporary Piano, String Quartet-some of these people have played all over the world, Spanish Classical Guitar, Flamenco Guitar, Blues and more.
Over the last year they have done this and have had several concerts and the last couple have had some real good results as far as turn out.
Musicians on a Mission was set up to help ANGELCARE raise money and awareness for their educational and sponsorship program for needy kids. Recently our school in the Philippines was flooded and used as an evacuation center where they were able to feed other people in the community during their time of need.
They have also recently gotten Ulli Reiner of the Poway School District in San Diego to take on ANGELCARE as one of the schools they will help fundraise for this year as well as they are adopting the school in Guatemala so they can start a music program there. Already they have donated food, money, books and several musical instruments.
ANGELCARE’s President is Ted Grosser, retired Lutheran Minister, but he still preaches on holidays and special occasions. Ted has done charity work since the 1970′s when he was President of Amigos De Los America’s. They would send people all over the world to do peace corp work, show the community how to farm and provide medicine. Since then he has helped start up the CFC. That’s the Combined Federal Campaign-that is where government employees donate to specific approved charities. He has also worked with charities like United Way and CARE.
